The Hurst Children’s Theatre Group was established over 50 years ago in London by my Grandmother. She was a member of the famous Italia Conti Stage School and one of her first pupils was a very young Audrey Hepburn!  It has always been a family-run group which is what makes it different. My Father, Mike Hurst, took over the group in Henley where it still flourishes today. One of my brothers and 2 sisters run their own versions of HCTG in Herefordshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire.

I set up my own group in Bourne in 2008 and have been thrilled to watch the group grow with each term. The classes are held at the Salvation Army Hall every Saturday morning. It’s not a pushy, strictly-structured club; the emphasis is on having FUN. All we ask for is enthusiasm!

The Bourne branch consists of a group of local children practising the art of “theatre”, delivering two productions per year. This Theatre Group is ideal for children who need help with their confidence and equally good for children with loads of it, providing an outlet to ‘perform’.
